Cub Scouts

The Scouting adventure continues in Cub Scouts, with new challenges and opportunities helping define the learning journey.

Cub Scouts create their own paths, finding adventure in not only the activity, but the challenge of leading the way.

Cub Scouts continues the journey from Joey Scouts and is for young people aged 8–11.

Cub Scouts decide their own adventures and take more responsibility in the process of Plan>Do>Review>. They’ll explore further into nature and their communities, building an understanding of their responsibilities to both. Their active imaginations help them understand their roles as part of a Patrol and Unit as social groups become increasingly important.

Creativity and imagination are at the centre of the Cub Scout experience. Cub Scouts will develop and use skills and ideas to make their program more adventurous, fun, challenging, and inclusive. Working as a Patrol they problem-solve, make, construct, design and invent. Their diverse program of creative, outdoor, personal growth, and community challenges promote Cub Scouts to be active, express themselves, build confidence and conquer fears.

Cub Scouts will build on existing interests and discover new ones, sharing many of these with their Scouting peers.
